Nā Lei Hulu I Ka Wēkiu offers classes in beginning and intermediate hula. A new beginning class opens every two years and is announced here and through our mailing list. Students learn hula kahiko, hula 'auana, oli, Hawaiian language, history, crafts, culture, and more. All classes last an hour or longer and are held on weeknights. Students with prior hula experience will be placed in an existing beginner level class and may be invited to move to a more advanced class. Open enrollment for our next Adult Hula Class is

Hō'ike 2008 After two years of studying hula, these students performed in their first recital at the Presidio in San Francisco. More than 1,000 friends and family came to watch and cheer them on. Huaka'i 2008 In April, 2008, these students flew to O'ahu for their huaka'i, a weeklong immersion in Hawaiian culture. See what the students had to say about their experience.
