NEW! Keiki Hula Classes

Nā Lei Hulu is thrilled to announce its first-ever keiki (children's) hula classes. The classes are for beginners, but children with hula experience are welcome, too.

Classes consist of a 12-week session that begins on Sunday, June 7 and runs through Sunday, August 30 (no class on Sunday, July 5). Space is limited, so please pre-register by emailing Aunty Bobbie Mendes at auntybobbie@naleihulu.org.

Class times: 10-10:50am (ages 5 to 7) and 11-11:50am (ages 8 to 12).

Location: The auditorium at Daniel Webster Elementary School in San Francisco, at 465 Missouri St. between 19th and 20th (see map).

Teachers: Julie Mau and Makani Santos, both longtime members of Nā Lei Hulu's dance company and ho'opa'a graduates in the 'ūniki hula training tradition.

What to bring: A yoga mat and some energy!

Tuition: $150 for the 12-week session.
